Adrián Paz (born on September 9, 1968 in Montevideo, Uruguay) is a former footballer from
Uruguay that played as midfielder and forward.
He makes his debut in first division in the year 1985 in Uruguay at Club Atlético Bella Vista. In the 1986 – 1987 season he plays for the Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield of Argentina.
In 1988 he returns to his country to play in Club Atlético Peñarol. Team in which he plays until 1993 when he is transferred to integrate the lineup at the Argentinian team Club Estudiantes de la Plata until the year 1995.
In the 1995 season, Adrián Paz signs his contract with the Premier League to become a player at
Ipswich Town Football Club. This makes him the first Uruguayan player to participate in this league.
In the year 1996 he travels to Portugal to be part of Leiria’s União Desportiva team in which he played until 1997 when he was sold to Columbus Crew SC of the Major League Soccer.
That same year he moved to Denver’s Colorado Rapids where he played 27 games. He spent two seasons at the club until he was sold to the Chinese team Tianjin Teda Football Club in the year 1999.
In the year 2000 Paz returns to Uruguay to play at Club Atlético Bella Vista. After a brief stay at the Uruguayan club, he goes back to China to be part of Qindao Estong, team in which he
ends his career as a professional player. Adrian Paz was part of Uruguay’s National Team from 1991 until 1993.
