Tips: How to Set Goals

People have usually dream or imagine the things they wish for and long to be places where they are not currently in…  All these desires and dreams typically stay only that and never become a reality.

Today, we will talk about a very important topic that can change your life if you apply it to the letter. Today you will discover how to set goals and how to fulfill them.

Setting goals

Specific and realistic goals

If you want to achieve change and succeed, you must set realistic and specific goals.

“I’m going to recycle all my plastic bottles, soda cans, and magazines” is a much more feasible goal than “I am going to recycle the trash of my entire country.”

Time and patience

It takes time for a change to become an established habit. It will probably take a couple of months before a change like getting up half an hour early to exercise becomes part of your life.

Your brain needs time to get used to the idea that your new habit is now part of your routine.

Express your goal aloud every day to remind yourself of what you want and what you are working for. Every time you remember your goal, you are training your brain to make it possible.

Pleasing other people does not work

The key to making a change permanent is to find the source of your desire.

– Do things because you really want them, not because a friend, coach, parent or other person wants you to.

– It will be more difficult to stay focused and motivated if you do something out of obligation to another person.

Obstacles do not mean failures

Mistakes are part of the learning process as you train your brain to think in a new way.

It may take several attempts to reach your goal, but that should not discourage you; it is normal for you to make mistakes or give up a few times when you try to make a change.

Remember that all people make mistakes and do not worry too much about it, just remind yourself that you must continue for the fulfillment of your goals.
